That's fucking nuts. It makes me almost believe 9/11 was allowed to happen for similar reasons.
The fact that this was 1999, and people at least cared that there was a problem of civil rights, and a "no protest zone." Now, that's standard practice.
Ugh.
Also, I consider Uncle Sam to be a symbol of what's right about America. This wasn't Uncle Sam. This was the corporate masters who run the government now. I'm convinced Uncle Sam is locked up in Guantanamo Bay, held without right of Habeus Corpus.
